LEVEL MARK LABS · AIQ
Privacy Policy
EFFECTIVE JULY 10, 2026
AIQ is a research instrument built by Level Mark Labs. It measures how well people direct artificial intelligence by placing them in a historical scenario with an AI assistant at their side. This policy explains what we collect when you take the test, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Identity. The name and email address you enter when you start a test. Email addresses are used to link repeat runs by the same person; we do not verify them and we do not send marketing email to them unless you separately opt in.
Your run.The full record of how you played: every prompt you send to the AI, the AI's replies, the responses you draft and submit, items you pin or attach, your timing, and the score and written evaluation the system produces. This record is the research dataset the instrument exists to build, which is why we ask for your explicit consent before any run begins.
Usage analytics. We use two analytics services. PostHog helps us understand how people move through the test: pages viewed, buttons clicked, where people drop off, and session replays of interactions with the site; PostHog events are linked to your participant record, and its traffic is routed through our own domain. Google Analytics measures overall site traffic: visits, pages viewed, and where visitors arrive from. Google Analytics data is not linked to your name or email by us, and is processed by Google under its own terms.
Technical data. Standard server logs and a hashed (one way, non reversible) form of your IP address, used for abuse prevention and debugging.
HOW THE AI PROCESSES YOUR WORDS
The in test assistant and the evaluator are powered by Claude, operated by Anthropic. Everything you type into the chat and the deliverable is sent to Anthropic's API to generate replies and scores, and is handled under Anthropic's commercial data policies. Do not paste passwords, financial details, or anything you would not want processed by a third party AI service. The chat is for asking questions about the scenario; it never needs personal information to work.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use run records to score your test, to show you your Flight Report, and to study how people direct AI: in aggregate, to calibrate scoring, improve the scenarios, and publish research findings. Published findings are always aggregated or anonymized; we do not publish your name, your email, or your identifiable transcript. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
SHARING AND SHARE LINKS
If you share your result, the public share page shows only your AIQ score, archetype, and the scenario you played. It never shows your name, email, or transcript. Anyone with the link can view that page.
WHO WE WORK WITH
Your data is processed by a small set of service providers: Anthropic (AI responses and evaluation), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (site hosting), PostHog (product analytics and session replay), and Google Analytics (site traffic measurement). Each processes data on our behalf to run the service; we do not permit any of them to use your data to serve you advertising on our behalf.
COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE
We use cookies and browser storage for analytics identifiers (PostHog and Google Analytics) and to keep your in progress draft from being lost if you refresh the page. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run ads.
RETENTION AND DELETION
Run records are retained while the research program is active. If you want your data deleted, email us at coordinate.michael@gmail.com from the address you used to take the test and we will delete your participant record, your runs, and your analytics profile. You can also ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
CHILDREN
AIQ is not directed at children. Do not take the test if you are under 16.
CHANGES
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
